I established Writing Wild in 2022 to inspire children in the art of creative writing in a forest school setting. The course combines diverse teaching methods including discussions, lectures, and hands-on application of techniques.

Students also engage in a variety of activities designed to spark creativity, such as free play, hiking, games, nature art, forest bathing, cooking over a campfire, and sit spots. 

Additionally, participants have the opportunity to share their stories around a campfire, creating a warm and supportive community atmosphere.

 I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be offering in-person Writing Wild retreats for adults in 2025! The program is designed to help you deepen your connection to nature and in turn, unleash your creativity. The retreats will be open to any writer or artist at any stage in their career.

 Another exciting program coming to Wild Roots in 2025 is Read Between the Pines, a book club that meets in the heart of the forest! We will gather around the campfire to discuss novels written by local authors and engage directly with them during our book club discussions. Each meeting will also include the opportunity to participate in forest bathing invitations-whether it’s crafting nature art, practicing mindful meditation, or enjoying a peaceful wander through the woods. Members will enjoy a catered meal or a potluck, where everyone brings a dish inspired by the book.
